The first spy photos of the upgraded Volkswagen Phaeton have appeared in the Internet. The largest of the “folk vehicle” is now on the final test and should be presented very soon at the Beijin Motor Show.
It is expected that the upgraded Phaeton will have a slightly changed “face” – there will be modified headlights, restyled grille and much more. In addition, the vehicle’s interior has also experienced serious alterations, but still there are no photos of the car’s interior for now. New engines are also expected.
Phaeton has been launched in 2002 and the company’s management hoped that this model will compete with Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Audi A8 and BMW 7-Series. It was assumed that 20 000 vehicles would be constructed each year. However, buyers did not accepted Phaeton. For example, only 4000 cars were sold last year. Hope that the new model will have more success.
