So I intentionally waited for the whole summer to post photos and videos from Formula Drift 2102 in order to single out the most notable races of the season. For those of you who don't know, the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is actually one of the oldest motor sports races in U.S.A. In fact, this year it marked its 90th running of the "Race to the Clouds". A seven-time champion's world record was beaten by Rhys Millen who was behind the wheel of a 700-hp Hyundai Genesis Coupe racecar. While Rhys has brought the Pikes Peak race record back to his family, it was a record-breaking event in other ways, too. Find out the details in this post.

Since there are always one or two models that have to be true to the brand for each company, for Mazda it's def the Miata. The MX-5 Miata is recognized as one of the best-selling roadsters of all time. So no wonder it is so much anticipated by drivers. While Mazda keeps on investing and improving the Miata, we can't wait to see it on U.S. roads. For now, the production started in Japan, but expect the U.S.-market model to roll out next year!
