Mazda Launches Special Edition Cars

Mazda Motor Corporation was started on January the 30th, 1920 as Toyo Cork Kogyo Co., Ltd. This year Mazda Motor Corporation is celebrating its 90th Anniversary. And a part of the celebration is the release of two special edition models for this occasion: Mazda Axela (known as Mazda 3 on the international market) and Mazda Biante (midsize minivan with “high-roof” body). Both vehicles are featuring the idling stop system called “i-stop” that lets the car qualify for the eco-car tax reductions (75% tax reduction) as well as fun-to-drive features combining efficiency with great driving experience. “I-Stop” system is already highly recognized in Japan, it already has been awarded 2010 RJC Technology of the Year award and 2009 Eco-Products Award from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.

Mazda Biante i-stop Smart Edition will be based on 20CS model and will feature DSC (Dynamic Stability Control), advanced key-less entry system by Mazda, dual-power sliding doors and the i-stop feature, of course.

Special edition of Mazda Axela will be the first Mazda on the Japanese market to be sold with exclusive exterior color – Gunmetal Blue Mica.
