JukeBox Full Of Hope By Nissan

Nissan has introduced the Qashqai little brother Juke at 2010 Geneva Motor Show. Applied with 190 hp engine and all-wheel drive, this boldly styled SUV is going to appear at the dealers’ showrooms by the next autumn. The compact Juke SUV will be positioned between Note – the compact car and the Qashqai. It uses the Renault-Nissan B platform (Nissan Micra / Renault Modus) as the base. 2011 Nissan Juke is 4.13 meters long, 1.76 wide and 1.57 meters high. With a wheelbase of 2.53 meters, the new Nissan is closely oriented to the dimensions of the study.

Desig of the new Juke is litle bit futuristic with the Nissan’s classical shapes, distinguishing with its narrow headlamps, pretty big fog lights and curvy bumper. The cockpit is dominated by a glossy center console, in the form of which were inspired by Nissan’s creative minds from a motorcycle tank. The large rear hatch and a flexible loading and unloading zone with partly hidden storage facilities designed to increase the everyday practicality of the Juke.

At its market launch Nissan offers three different engines for the jukebox: a diesel with 1.5 liter displacement and 110 hp and two 1.6 liter gasoline engine. The head of a new petrol engine comes with direct injection and turbocharging is used, developing 190 hp and 240 Nm of torque. The smaller gasoline engine comes as a vacuum cleaner and produces 110 hp. The area used for the juke-wheel drive is an evolution of Nissan’s All Mode 4x4i system. Instead, the only variable torque distribution from front to back, it also provides the technology between the two rear wheels to prevent understeer during the fast cornering.

Among the technical highlights on board of the Juke includes nissan accessories like the Dynamic Control System, a central location in the center console housed information terminal. By two menu buttons, the driver can regulate both dynamic power settings as well as the air conditioning.

The all-new JUKE includes an array of safety and Eco technologies, including:

  • Emergency Locking Retractor (ELR) 3-point seatbelts for all seats
  • Rear seat headrests (3)
  • Achieves SU-LEV certification by emitting 75% fewer exhaust emissions than 2005 standards
  • Achieves 15% improvement in fuel economy over 2010 standards
  • 95% recyclability rate based on 1998 Guidelines for definition and calculation method on the recyclability rate for new vehicles provided by JAMA
  • Mileage display function
