The Ferrari Enzo was created to honor the name of the legendary “stable” founder – Enzo Ferrari. In fact the new Ferrari is a true Formula 1 racing car dressed in the “civil clothing”. Insanely beautiful, incredibly fast and fabulously expensive Enzo is the crown of creation for the Ferrari engineers and Pininfarina designers. The dream of millionaires and ordinary boys, it is equally unavailable for both of them: the car was produced in quantity of 399 copies, and they were all divided between the buyers long ago.
The enormous light-alloy five-pointed star wheels are shod in the super low-profile tires by Bridgestone, which hold the wide and squat car body in several millimeters from the ground. The Enzo’s body is shot through with powerful air intake sockets, which distribute the incoming flow of air to increase the downforce and ensure the efficient cooling of the engine without significant aerodynamic losses.
The cockpit looks similar to the supersonic aircraft cabin and ends with a long and narrow rear window. It seems that the window is installed for the sole purpose – to show everybody the magnificent Enzo Ferrari motor installed in front of the rear axle. Each of the twelve cylinders has a working volume of 0.5 liters, that allows this modern unit develop 660 hps without any superchargings.
