2014 Nissan GT-R Spied

Have you noticed the GT-R getting more updated and faster with each model year? In order to keep the tradition, the Japanese automaker Nissan has brought new upgrades for the 2014 model year. Well, the 2013 GT-R was already substantially refined, but the prototype of the new sports car was noticed while testing around the Nürburgring. While the caught prototype is still wearing most of the current model’s parts, the 2014 GT-R is rumored to gain a revised exterior, though not significantly. Expect the updated front and new rear bumpers. Being in the early stages of development, the model hides the biturbo 3.8-liter V-6 under its hood. The unit is likely to make 570 hp which is a 28 hp gain over the 2013 model’s performance.

The other possible changes include new wheel patterns, the refreshed interior (two-tone steering wheel and red leather seats), and new light graphics. What really makes us anticipate and wonder is the possibility of the high-performance ‘RS’ version. It was the automaker’s executive vice president Andy Palmer who identified RS versions as more track-focused cars rather than the regular models. What can I say? The world will find out later. As for the 570 hp GT-R, expect it to roll out in the nearest future. The model might even appear at the Paris Motor Show later this month. Who knows…For now, see the photos of a prototype testing the latest mechanicals as well as tire specs.

You must have seen the stock GT-R in the Nürburgring 24 Hours lately where the car appeared to be a winner in its class. According to the automaker, the GT-R was set to testing to check out the reliabilty and durability of its engine, transmission, and suspension and usage of this knowledge for the model’s futher enhancement.
