It was a few days ago when the first examples of the model ready to hit the market appeared in showrooms of Croatia. The A 250 is to appear in the U.S. this October with the base price starting at around $28,500 and it feels like a car you will be proud of. In fact, Mercedes got serious about the premium hatchback segment. To tell you the truth, the automaker should have given us this small car back in 1990s, but hey it is more important that this A-Class is destined for success.

Elegant, youthful, vibrant, featuring a great choice of engines, the small compact car certainly represents a significant gain over two previous generations of A-Class. Honestly saying, the world has lived through one of the most utterly bland four-wheeled semi-premium small cars it has ever seen.

As for the powertrain, yes, 2013 Mercedes-Benz A 250 does carry powerful engines ranging from 109 hp to 211 hp. Extremely efficient, the A 250 boasts a best-in-class drag coefficient of 0.27. There will be deff much fuss about the A45 AMG coming along later, but for now we know that the little A-Class has grown up and it has great looks.
