Seems like the automaker needed to create a new sporty image due to the high necessity to increase the sales and it did a good job since the C-X16 concept shown at the Frankfurt Auto Show last September received positive feedbacks. Jaguar has already announced that the cool-looking and fast convertible will roll out as the Jaguar F-Type (the fourth model in Jaguar’s lineup) later this year. Below are some pics of the C-X16 concept providing a good preview of the new Jag:
There won’t be a V-8, as rumors have suggested, meaning that we can expect a more efficient and powerful version. With no official details about new Jag’s powertrain revealed, the automaker claimed that a range of engines will be available for the model, including a new powerplant family. For instance, the concept previewed at the Frankfurt Auto Show, carried the 3.0-liter supercharged V6 under its hood, a unit capable of making 376 hp.
The new Jag’s development is certainly a vivid representation of the brand’s ambition and grounded confidence. Apparently, the core desire of Jaguar engineers and design team is building a world-leader in a market segment, and an aggressive, stylish sports car will do just that.
With the model’s stringent development schedule moving to a final on-road testing and the engineering prototypes taking off from the plant, expect the new Jag to roll out really soon. For now, get teased with these vids.
If so, then leave finding the right Jaguar accessories to amateurs. Take a look at tasty offerings from CARiD:
