Volkswagen has accidentally showed a prototype of the Golf’s seventh generation in the 1L concept promo, it became possible to recreate the appearance of the future innovations. The fact that this episode was quickly removed from the official video proves that a prototype of the future seventh generation is not a myth.

As in the case of the Golf’s fifth and sixth generations, changes in the appearance would not be very significant, being rather evolutionary than revolutionary. In addition, the appearance of new Golf will be sustained in the corporate brand style. However, this car will be radically different from the present one – it will have a completely new platform, other engines, and interior will experience serious changes as well.

Volkswagen designers have decided to finally get away from large, wide-open “eyes” inherent in the third, fourth and fifth generations of Golf and in order to make car’s look more aggressive, mounting new narrow headlights, expressive wheel arches and a flat windshield.
